60% of future jobs haven’t been developed, and 38% of students don’t believe their schools are adequately preparing them for future employment. We need to:
Learn through play and tinkering
Expose kids to the inner-workings of technology
Foster a sense of wonder and curiosity
Teach a systems approach to our complex world
Fostering curiosity
As the complexity of technology grows, so should our understanding of how it works. Without that knowledge, the things we use own us. With that knowledge, we own the things we use.
A successful educational experience should prepare students for this growing complexity, and teach them how to engage and play with it.
